Current BMS rely on estimations, not measurements, to determine the State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) of a battery. Common methods, such as coulomb counting, lead to ~7 - 25% inaccuracy depending on battery age. Low levels of SoC/SoH accuracy limit the LiB usable capacity for operating usage. To prevent additional battery degradation and damage, traditional BMS operate within very conservative parameters.

This BMS inaccuracy problem is part of every battery L-ion system in the world.

ionView™ is an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) for L-ion batteries.


ionView™ utilizes an acoustic detection system that is non-intrusive, providing an in-situ real-time measurement of the battery’s current and voltage. The system provides an increase in accuracy and real-time SoH/SoC measurement by ~2 orders of magnitude (>99.9% accurate).


IonView™ replaces the traditional BMS with an advanced acoustic BMS, fundamentally changing LiB management, improving economics, and extending battery life for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Stationary Energy Storage (SES).
