Head of Business Development for Battery Diagnostics

Located in Salem, MA, Titan Advanced Energy Solutions (Titan) is building a world-class team to develop and commercialize game-changing ultrasound-based battery management diagnostic systems for lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronics, automotive, storage, and second-life markets. We provide fast and accurate estimates of the state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH), which creates significant benefits to the whole value chain, including increased daily usable charge capacity, longer battery life, and improved safety monitoring and control. The benefits to manufacturers, integrators, producers, and consumers are attracting a lot of attention!

Growing and poised to continue their positive momentum, this is an exciting time to join the Titan team!

Operating as a crucial member of our leadership team, the Head of Business Development for Battery Diagnostics will take ownership for creating opportunities for increased market presence relating to the adoption of Titan’s technology through battery OEMs; this will include developing new product opportunities, as well as creating and cultivating strategic partnerships. In this newly created position, the Head of Business Development will be responsible for accumulating a pipeline of revenue for Titan and ensuring the continued growth of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full life-cycle ownership for the identification, development and implementation of new business and product development strategies that ultimately lead to increased levels of revenue and profit.

  • Ensure that Battery OEMs, ESS integrators and test equipment manufacturers are utilizing Titan’s products and supporting feedback loops for continuous improvement.

  • Take a holistic view of strategic relationships and joint ventures to ensure alignment as potential partners.

  • Ownership for the creation and continued development of the business plan that supports new product implementation, as well as other business opportunities.

  • Through networking and continued professional development, maintain a depth and breadth of knowledge in the market to ensure you are aware of new products and technology opportunities for Titan, including competitive intelligence.

  • Define the financial, operational and marketing requirements for all product rollouts.


  • Technical undergraduate degree with advanced business degree preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience working in a business development role within a similar sector, as well as a high-growth industry.

  • Track record of success selling technologies into battery OEMs and ESS integrators, as well as an ability to demonstrate previous relationships in this space.

  • International experience strongly preferred, particularly Europe.

  • Previous experience developing join development program strategic partnerships.

  • Experience working in a B2B and B2C environment, with a strong understanding for end use customers.

  • Noteworthy new product development and product launch experience is essential, including PR and marketing materials.
